Bob,
I've been practicing the flip turns these last
few days only, and already my times for repeats
I was doing last week have come down by 1-2
seconds on 50m (25m pool)! And I am in no way
proficient at this art yet.
Thank you so much for your input, I am really
excited about doing flip turns for the first
time in my life. The thing is that I am now
conscious of what various parts of my body
are doing during the turn, whereas before I
had pretty much given up on being able to do
anythiWhat'ng other than an open turn. And
now with your latest post, even that will improve
vastly!
It is the sort of excitement I got when I started
learning TI free style for the first time.
Before, the turns were just a means to get
me to the next lap so that I could discover
more with each stroke. This week, the laps
have almost been just a means to get me to
the next turn, so that I can learn more there!
Thanks again for a truly consciousness-raising
week, and for the "thinking" turns
in the weeks to come. I'm off to the pool to
do some more turns, with maybe some laps in
between.
Regards,
Gary
